It's all about the Angels as Casey Kotchman leads them into the top spot in 3 out of the 6 sites we poll. If they can put together some wins in the next week, they will might sway the vote and take over first place by themselves. The Yankees also made some moves in a few polls but after being swept by the Rockies, expect them to fall a little next week.

Here's a completely biased question: Why aren't the Phillies getting more love from the writers of the Power Rankings? The A's, the Mariners and the Diamondbacks are getting plenty of love. Why not the Phils? Just asking.

There isn't much change in the Power Rankings this week but we expect there to be a bunch next week after the recent troubles of the Red Sox and Mets. Curiously, ESPN (going totally against their east coast bias!) put the Padres at #1 in their Power Rankings. We'll see if that holds up next week.

It's hard to believe that we're already 9 weeks into the baseball season. The Red Sox are still the best team in the land according almost everybody and the Mets aren't too far behind. The big gainer this week were the Diamondbacks, on a 7 game winning streak. The big loser this week were the Brewers who, after a fast start, have dropped 7 of their last 10.

Well, once again, the Red Sox and their .700 record are unanimously the best team in the land. Behind them, the Mets, Tigers and Brewers fight it out for the next couple of places. Not much changed in the power rankings this week. Even the biggest moves up and down were simply by a few slots. The Tigers and Angels moved up while the Twins and Indians were the big losers this week. Expect the Brewers to be knocked down a few slots in next weeks' poll after losing half of their last 10 games.

Last week, there was unanimous agreement that the Red Sox were the #1 team in the land. Well, this week, TSN just blew that up by picking the Brewers as their #1 team. The Brewers certainly have been on a tear but it's hard to argue that they are playing better ball than the Red Sox. Other notable movers include the Tigers and the Cubs. Meanwhile, the D'backs and Yankees are falling in most rankings.

Well folks, it's unanimous: the Red Sox are the best team in the land. They have the best record in the majors at 18-9 and they seem to have the AL East locked up already. Meanwhile, in the rest of the league, the Indians, Diamondbacks and Brewers made the most noise in the power rankings this week, moving up the charts. The Yankees and Tigers are the big losers this week.

Everyone is finally figuring out what the best team in baseball is. There isn't complete agreement but it seems that the consensus is that either the Mets or the Red Sox rule. Meanwhile, the Yankees are sliding in most rankings due to their latest losing streak. The surprise team this week is the San Francisco Giants, winners of 8 in a row and moving up the charts. The Diamondbacks, after a brief fling with the top 10, are dropping as well after a 3-7 record in their last 10.

Now that we're three weeks into the season, the Power Rankings are shaping up and the bad teams are shaking out. The Power Rankings are published on various days of the week for different sites so a lot of sites dropped the Yankees before they swept the Indians. On the flip side, rankings rewarded the Braves, Dodgers and Brewers (!) for being three of the hottest teams in the past week or so.

Well, after almost two weeks of ball, no one can agree on who the best team in the land is. While two sites in our survey say it's the Mets, two others say it's the Yankees and then we have one vote each for the Indians and the Red Sox.
The Braves, Angels and Diamondbacks are getting a lot of love this week, moving up significantly in a few of the Power Rankings, while the Phillies and Cubs were the big losers.
