Maybe you should actually know what your talking about before opening your mouth spewing this snobbish view of somethng you don't know anything about. The Olympic games, like so many other things,  has changed over time to suit the time( hence the lack of chariot races in the present games). What is the difference between a high jump/long jump and a high ollie/long ollie? Do you know what an ollie is?

Yes skateboarding takes hard work. Yes it takes dedication. Yes it is no more or less than anything else that someone wants to pursue with their whole heart and being.

Be careful. Don't let one group of individuals dictate an image of an entire society and culture. In fact maybe you should just (using the colloquialism) "shut it bub".
