NFL REFS lose credibilty (#1)
by Anonymous Fan on Tue Feb 07, 2006 at 02:42:20 PM EST
When the refs reviewed the Big Ben TD and let the ruling stand, suddenly the game was no longer a contest. It's pretty obvious it was fixed, even to novice football watchers.
I've enjoyed NFL football and Superbowls for 26 years. I love this sport. The officiating at Superbowl 40 was a travesty. If the Seahawks lose or win, let it happen fair and square. This teaches our children that it's OK to cheat to win at all costs. I will never watch a Superbowl game again.

Superbowl XL (#4)

This was a mockery of the NFL and the Superbowl, I don't recognize a victor of Superbowl XL but the loser that I do recognize are the fans and all who watched the game.   We will never know what the outcome of the game really would have been , but we do know that Seattle would have scored more than 10 points that's for sure and maintained and increased momentum if it hadn't been for terrible calls by the refs.

WHAT A JOKE! You have got to be kidding me, a fair game!  No wonder everyone watches the Super Bowl for the commercials only! The games are fixed, that's obvious.  It would be nice if the NFL would take the Super Bowl seriously and hire people with ethics.

If Was all "Clean"... (#3)

They should have nothing to hide.

What happened on Sunday is difficult for anyone to rationalize. It's taints the Steelers victory. It jades newcomers to the sport. It breaks the hearts of veteren fans, and is completely unitelligible to children. There is no reason why anyone should just accept that "bad calls" happen. They do, but not like this game.

The all of us should do everything we can to investigate the officiating crew and their actions before the game(finances included). The Steelers deserve to have this title cleared of any premeditated fix. If they have nothing to hide...

Their names:

Bill Leavy- Refree
Garth DeFelice- Umpire
Mark Hittner- Head linesman
Mark Pearlman-Line Judge
Steve Zimmer-Field Judge
Tom Hill-Side Judge
Bob Waggoner-Back Judge
