there was a movie -- where one of the characters said that there are only two things you couldn't do in washington dc: live boy or dead girl.

Wonder what HR did...

It makes absolutely no sense that ESPN would fire him. They aren't exactly flush with baseball analyst talent. he must have done something really bad... either that or they are very thin skinned about their shitty A-Rod coverage.

In the footsteps of Rick -- HR's firing comes as a suprise to all who have enjoyed his sanitary, vanilla approach over the years. Everyone knows the realities of sports media and their affinity for ex-jocks on the mic...Eric Dickerson....collective shudder. Reynolds played the game and did a adequate job for the four letter network. We can only wait and see why they made this move. If you have forgotten, it was a mere two months ago when another of their baseball jocks turned analyst slurred his way through a Padre broadcast after drinking on the links with Bill Murry and he continues to pull a paycheck from the sports leader.

Reynolds -- In my opinion there has to be something deeper to this story because Harold Reynolds was one of the best announcers they had. I considered him baseball's version of Jay Bilas. Just a well-spoken guy who knew exactly what he was talking about.
